CHRISTMAS 2011: ISDAAN (Calauan, Laguna)

Testimonies Verified! We were amazed by what we came to see. Ang Ganda at ang Sarap ng Pagkain!

Weeks ago, we were thinking of a different way to celebrate this Christmas 2011. We have heard about ISDAAN at Calauan from our local customers here in Mamatid. The buzz is mostly about humongous gorilla statue, boat ride, singing staffs and of course good food.

This is located along the national highway between the boundaries of Victoria and Bay (2hour drive from Manila). This was reported as newest branch of hugely popular restaurant Barrio Fiesta and the actress Heart Evagelista.

Perfect for any occasion. Be it wedding anniversary,  family reunion, team building or just a day you want sit, eat and relax...this place is a good venue.

Here is a picture of the famous Gorilla. 50 to 70ft high...Maybe :P. I've read from another blog that this cost nearly 3 million pesos. Wow. Not bad!

The 3 million pesos Gorilla.

At the reception, we were welcomed by guard on duty. I wonder if this guys, deserves a pay check...hmmm. It seems that he is always sleeping. lol

I'm on duty. Quite please.
Here is our hut. Look at menu. ISDAAN has a very long menu. And that goes all the way up to the back. You have a very wide range of choices here and mostly, Filipino dish. You may want to check-out the specialty of the house, Lechon Tinupig na manok.

Food? Look at this very long menu.
bon apettit!

I'm not going to expound on the food anymore, since I have not tried them all yet. But I promise to have a more detail review on their menu later. As for this day the combination package that we have chosen is already good for 4 person but since we're just like Batman and Robbin here, the dynamic duo of all times, there is still a lot to for us to take home. :) One big comment is that the fish are very good since they are all fresh. Give it a try when you come and visit.

Lets go to the fun part!

Serenade
First let me introduce the Salbabida Boys. I'm not sure why they call them that. But if you are planning to have a date here with your sweetheart, better yet prepare your song list and have your date romanticize by the voices of this trio.  Everything can be pre arranged. But make sure you also hand them the generous tip of 20 pesos per song. It's really cool to have this amusement while you are eating. And look at the post of Kuya over there. Says "Go Japan"! lol They are really entertaining.

We also got to meet some prominent personalities here at ISDAAN. Familiar, right? I wonder when will madam makes it here.

The Prominent Personalities

And here is a splash of excitement from the Universal Studios in Singapore! lol Surely Lawrence will love it here. Next time we'll bring him here.

Feels like Universal Studios

Here is a glimpse on the fish pond. See that...its a very big fish.

I think there are are four of these near the main lounge.

I wonder how long it takes to finish one of these.

These are totally crafty.

I mean massive artistic structures.

And lastly here are some shots from the special performances as a celebration for Christmas. And they are truly amazing! I have heard that during the weekends they do magic shows. I wish the next time we'll be here we can enjoy them.
